Neusoft Reach openVOC 1st Developer Ecosystem Conference was successfully held in Shanghai, China

On Nov 30th, 2023, Neusoft Reach openVOC 1st Developer Ecosystem Conference, with the theme “Facilitating Development, Accelerating Innovation”, was held in Shanghai. Government leaders from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers and the Shanghai International Automobile City Group, as well as representatives from automobile companies including VOYAH, Geely AUTO, CHANGAN AUTO and core partners from SemiDrive, UAES, Pony.ai, SGS, iFLYTEK, BlackBerry QNX, Tencent Cloud, NXP, Infineon and ZF, attended the conference to jointly discuss how the automotive industry respond to new market challenges in a steady and orderly manner in of the era of intelligent mobility robot.

AI technology is propelling the transformation of intelligent automotive products into intelligent mobility robot. Based on the understanding of the characteristics of intelligent mobility robot, Neusoft Reach proposed the concept configuration of FBB (Face-Brain-Body), which is interpreted as Face, the user-oriented interaction interface; Body, the vehicle’s components responsible for behavior execution; and Brain, the central supercomputer responsible for thinking and computing.

As the core intelligent component of intelligent mobility robot, the software in Brain currently lacks an industry-consensus application software architecture and effective development methods. Neusoft Reach launched the openVOC (Vehicle On Chip) software and hardware open technology framework, aiming to help the intelligent automotive industry solve the contradiction between cost and innovation and promote the construction of a prosperous and collaborative new automotive ecosystem.

openVOC has accumulated Neusoft Reach’s years of experience in the automotive software and hardware practice. It has newly released five major components: NeuSAR 4.2, a system component for the development of “next-generation E/E architecture domain control”; intelligent driving application components for “collaborative innovation in the intelligent driving developer ecosystem”; vehicle cloud components for “access to new ecological applications in non-traditional automotive industries”; scene engine for “innovation in intelligent scene applications for the whole vehicle”; and X-Center 2.0, a new central computing platform in line with the openVOC framework.

At the conference, the world’s leading testing, inspection and certification company SGS awarded Neusoft Reach the ISO 26262:2018 Automotive Functional Safety ASIL-B certification for its NeuSAR aCore, which is globally leading AUTOSAR AP standard product achieving this certification.

Based on the openVOC framework, Neusoft Reach hopes to build an open, win-win, flexible, and efficient innovation ecosystem, making it easier for third-party developers to participate in the development of intelligent software. At the same time, the openVOC not only solves the innovation from “0” to “1” but also addresses the scalability from “1” to “N.” Currently, Neusoft Reach’s related software development platforms and products have been well adapted and integrated with many localized algorithms, communications, security, chips, microkernels, and other enterprises. The adaptation cycle can be calculated in “weeks,” and within half a year, it can enter the pre-production state of whole-vehicle testing, reducing the development cycle and development costs, and enabling zero-cost cross-model functional iteration and migration, fully realizing the reuse of software assets.

With the official release of the openVOC framework and related components, Neusoft Reach will continue to upgrade its innovation, truly realizing application deployment without the need for joint compilation and debugging, attracting more excellent developers to join the automotive industry, enable more efficient process of the whole vehicle development, more open innovation and more extensive application ecology.
